Our planning history
Airport Company publishes an Airport Master Plan 'Vision 2005' with a plan period to 2005. Airport Company submits an Outline Planning Application for the expansion of the passenger terminal facilities and related infrastructure to the Local Planning Authority, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
Outline Planning Permission granted, subject to an extensive number of Planning Conditions and a Section 106 Planning Agreement.
Airport Company publishes first Airport Surface Access Strategy.
Airport Company submits a Planning Application to extend the life of the Outline Planning Permission until 2008.
Planning Permission granted subject to amendment of the S106 Agreement.
Planning Application to extend the existing runway and associated infrastructure works submitted to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
Planning Permission granted subject to a Section 106 Planning Agreement.
Planning Application to develop a hotel and car park at the Elmdon Terminal Site submitted to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
Planning Permission granted subject to conditions.
