Educational visits

Important notice: Regrettably, the learning hub is currently closed, due to construction work to deliver our new, state of the art security facilities. We are therefore unable to book new visits at this time. We will post on this page as soon as we are able to accept bookings.

Thank you for your patience.

Working in partnership with the Schools of King Edward in Birmingham, we have created The Learning Hub - a dedicated facility available for visiting schools and colleges.

The Learning Hub is a dedicated space located within the terminal building, where educational groups can base themselves during their visit to Birmingham Airport. It is large and self-contained, with toilets, AV equipment and plenty of tables and chairs which can be set up to suit your needs. Best of all it provides fantastic views across the airfield and the runway. The Learning Hub also has direct access into the landside areas of the terminal building where the workings of a busy airport can be observed at first hand. A visit to The Learning Hub can excite and inspire young people, providing a unique and stimulating learning environment.

Visits are free but booking is essential.

First, read our FAQ's by clicking here. This will help you decide if a visit is right for your group.

Once you've read the FAQs and you're happy that The Learning Hub is right for your needs, you should fill in a booking form, which you can complete by clicking here. You are also advised to read our Privacy Notice here.

Once your booking is confirmed, we will send detailed instructions on how to access and use the facility.

Each year, more than 2,000 students visit The Learning Hub; we hope your group will be among them soon.
