Volunteering

In support of local communities

At Birmingham Airport, we are committed to making a positive difference in the region we serve. In Spring 2025, we refreshed our colleague volunteering offer through the launch of the Community Lift‑Off Programme, our updated and improved approach to employee volunteering.

The Community Lift-Off Programme gives every Birmingham Airport colleague the opportunity to volunteer for a day in support of local community groups, charities and environmental projects. We recognise how valuable volunteering can be for the wellbeing of our communities, providing extra resource, enthusiasm and professional skills that many organisations may otherwise struggle to access.

As part of the programme, our colleagues support a wide range of initiatives, including:

  • Supporting local schools and youth organisations

  • Contributing to environmental and conservation projects

  • Assisting local charities and grassroots community groups

  • Sharing professional skills to help build capacity within community organisations

This programme is designed exclusively for Birmingham Airport employees, enabling our teams to give back as part of our wider corporate social responsibility commitments.

Please note:

If you are a local charity or community organisation seeking support, we welcome enquiries about potential opportunities where our colleagues may be able to assist.
