Educational visits

Birmingham Airport offers educational visits throughout the year for local schools, colleges, youth organisations and community groups.

Inspire the Next Generation at Our Learning Hub

Delivered from our dedicated Learning Hub, with its panoramic views across the airfield, educational visits provide a unique opportunity for young people to explore the exciting world of aviation, discover a wide range of careers, and develop key employability skills in a real-world environment.

As part of our commitment to being a good neighbour, we are passionate about helping young people in communities around the airport understand the opportunities available on their doorstep. Our aim is to inspire future talent, raise aspirations, and create meaningful connections with local communities.

What Can a Visit Include?

Our educational visits can be tailored to suit different age groups and learning objectives and may include:

  • Landside airport tours

  • Interactive workshops

  • Guest speakers from across the airport community

  • Careers and employability sessions

  • Skills development workshops aligned to the Skills Builder framework

  • Insights into the wide range of careers available in aviation.

Priority for Local Communities

In line with our Sustainability Strategy, priority is given to schools and groups located in north Solihull and east Birmingham, but we recognise we serve the wider Midlands region and will make every effort to accommodate requests from further afield wherever possible.

How to Book

Capacity is limited each year and visits are available on a first come, first served basis.

If you would like to arrange a visit for your school or community group, please complete the booking form here and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss your requirements.
